Things You Can Tell Us About Your Needs

All our transmitter applications are custom-designed to meet the needs of our clients. Tell us about your project and we'll e-mail you a set of specifications for equipment that we think will suit your study requirements best.

To move between fields use either the "TAB" key or your mouse pointer, and to transmit the form press the "RETURN" key or click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page.

The Study Animal
1. Name (common and binomial):

2. Sub-group within population (e.g., males, females, adult, sub-adult, juveniles):

3. Average Weights (median, mode, distribution, sexual dimorphism):

4. For neck collar applications, what is the neck circumference and does the shape of the neck vary from circular?:

5. For herp applications, what are the shortest, longest and average carapace lengths for chelonians and snout-vent lengths for all other herps? Girth measurements for snakes are also helpful.

6. Does the animal have particular habits which might affect the selection of the transmitter application?

The Study:
Give us a brief description of the goals of your study, including information on:
1. The approximate size and topography of the study area:

2. The animal's habitat:

3. Weather factors, such as extremes of temperature, humidity, fog or rain that might influence the performance of the instrumentation:

The Transmitters and their Custom Applications
1. What would you like the maximum weight (or range of weights) of the total package to be?

2. For what period of time do you need the transmitters to transmit??

3. What range (distance) of transmission is desired?

4. Is there a transmitter special function that you would like us to include?

5. If you have made a selection of the instrumentation you would like to use and would like us to check your choice for appropriateness, specify it here:

Other Information
1. Do you have existing receiving equipment? If so, tell us its make, model and frequency coverage:

2. Do you have an assigned radio frequency band that you would like to use?

3. Give us a list of specific frequencies or ranges of frequencies in use in your area if you would like us to avoid them:
